Pop Culture: Anime Edition⭐ Father and Son duo Minato and Naruto alongside the 9 tails fox Kurama in the hit anime Naruto.    Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Bleach are just a few amongst the plethora of popular anime. Anime is defined as a Japanese style of cartoons that are mostly aimed at adults and children. I remember when I was growing up if you liked anime, you'd be deemed as a nerd or weird. Now flashforward 10 years later, anime has gotten a pretty good reception amongst American culture. What makes it influential is its amazing story-telling, growth amongst characters, aesthetics, and cool graphics. Movies like the Matrix and Ghost In The Shell were heavily influenced by anime. The anime characters would go on to influence American cartoons by cartoons introducing characters who now had big round eyes and facial expressions. All of these movies and shows have made their mark by either breaking box office records, having enormous fanbases, making cultural impacts and bringing in iconic and classic gifs for years to come. Some other movies that are important in pop culture are The Wizard of Oz, The Godfather, and Scarface. The Wizard of Oz is significantly important because it was one of the first movies shot in technicolor. To be classified as a musical icon, your music must touch the hearts of millions, dominated the charts, and impacted  the culture. Your music must hold longevity  and light a creative spark.
